Camera does not have access using FortressSecure for iOS

  1. FortressSecure for iOS allows uploading of photos directly to your FortressSecure folders
  2. If you get an error message when trying to use the camera function of FortressSecure for iOS then it’s likely Privacy Settings3. Go to your Apple iOS Settings and then scroll down until you see FortressSecure4. The setting from OFF (no green)

5. Turn the setting to ON

6. Close settings. You may have to log into FortressSecure for iOS again.

Firewall rules to ensure FortressSecure can work

In order to make sure FortressSecure works on your endpoint, please, make sure that:

  • There is an exception in your Windows Firewall that allows unrestricted Internet access to the FortressSecure main executable (FortressSecure.exe); this exception rule is set by the FortressSecure installer itself, but in case this doesn’t happen you will need to create such exception manually
  • If you have a network firewall, make sure it allows outbound requests to your cloud storage provider’s servers, and HTTPS (port 443) access to Extenua’s Head Server cluster at

These settings are required to ensure proper operation of the FortressSecure agent.

FortressSecure’s cache files location on disk

Depending on the operating system, you can find your FortressSecure cache files in different locations.
